My drawings represent an activity in parallel with my paintings; they move along at the same pace. Before or after, my drawings intervene in order to underline or develop the ideas arising through my paintings. More intimate; they emerge spontaneously, as the line advances on the paper. The subjects are combined with writings: the Norwegian language often appears as my bearings; the echo of my roots, my culture, is omnipresent. The stamps as well as the fragments of newspapers are also marks of my sense of belonging, but at the same time they help my thoughts and my hand to drift away from constraint. My drawings represent a sort of diary where very different things can emerge and meet. This activity is very relaxing.
